Drawing on almost 20 years of experience supporting children with disability and their families, we provide individualised Occupational Therapy that helps make everyday life more manageable and you more confident. Whether you're preparing for your baby's arrival, navigating the early days of parenthood, or adapting to an unexpected diagnosis, we'll help you understand what lies ahead and develop strategies that work for your unique circumstances.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting, and even less so when additional needs are involved. That's why we take the time to understand your family's strengths, goals, routines, and challenges, providing tailored support that fits your life.
"Our aim isn't to eliminate every challenge—it's to help you feel prepared, capable, and supported so you can spend less time worrying and more time finding joy in your family's journey."

WhyWe Do What We Do
Every family's journey into parenthood is different. When disability, neurodiversity, prematurity, or a medical diagnosis becomes part of that journey, parents are often expected to navigate unfamiliar systems, make complex decisions, and adapt to a new reality—all while learning to care for themselves and their baby.
For almost 20 years, Kat has worked alongside families of children with additional needs, witnessing the resilience, love, and determination that parents bring to their families every day. She has also seen the gaps in support, where parents are often left searching for practical guidance tailored to their unique circumstances.
Little Nest OT was created to fill that gap.
Our focus is on supporting parents as they prepare for, adapt to, and embrace parenthood in the context of additional needs. Through practical, individualised Occupational Therapy, we help families build confidence, establish routines that work, and create a family life that feels more manageable, connected, and joyful.

Meet the Founder
Katharina Senger
Katharina Senger is an Occupational Therapist with almost 20 years of experience supporting children with disability and their families.
As the founder and owner of Little Hands Occupational Therapy in Kippax, she has dedicated her career to helping families navigate the challenges of raising a child with additional needs through practical, compassionate, and evidence-informed care.
During her own pregnancy, Kat experienced firsthand how important it is for parents to receive the right support during the perinatal period. This inspired her to deepen her expertise, completing further training as a Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Clinician and Paediatric Massage Consultant.
These experiences led to the creation of Little Nest OT — a service built on the belief that when parents feel informed, supported, and confident, the whole family benefits.
